You could easily customize this to coordinate with your other Christmas tree decor. I liked this ticking stripes one, but a red or cream velvet or gold satin would be really beautiful as well.
The last step is to just add a ribbon to hang the ornament. If you use the glue I suggested, it has a finite enough spout that you can just add the glue directly to the top with easy detail.Īfter I add the glue to the top, I just pour the glass glitter over the top and dump off the excess. I use basically the same technique as I did in my DIY ceramic glitter glass ornaments. The top that comes on these plain glass ormanents are just a tad plain and I think adding the glass glitter really makes them feel special. The last thing I like to do to these ornaments (to any ornaments I make, really) is to add glass glitter to the top. You can always add more detail, but I prefer this simple snowflake.
